Does this work for all vehicle makes and models? +
Yes — AutoStories works for any vehicle. We have 1000+ pre-loaded templates covering Australia's most popular makes including Toyota, Ford, Mazda, Holden, Hyundai, Kia, Isuzu, Subaru, VW, BMW, Audi, Mercedes-Benz and many more. For anything not in the templates, just type your own notes and the AI handles the rest.
Will it void my customer's warranty to use an independent workshop? +
This is a question about vehicle servicing, not AutoStories itself — but no. Under Australian Consumer Law and ACCC guidelines, any certified mechanic can service a vehicle without voiding the manufacturer's warranty, as long as the service is done to specification and the logbook is stamped.
How accurate are the generated stories? +
Very accurate — the AI is trained on a huge amount of automotive knowledge and understands vehicle systems, repair procedures and part names well. The stories are based entirely on the job notes you provide, so the more detail you give, the better the output. You can always edit the result before copying it.
Is my workshop data stored or shared? +
Story history and settings are stored locally on your device only — we don't store your job data on any server. The AI processes your notes to generate the story but does not retain or use your data for training.
Can I cancel my Pro subscription anytime? +
Absolutely. Cancel anytime directly through the billing portal — no questions asked, no lock-in contracts. Your Pro access continues until the end of the billing period.
Does it work on tablets and phones? +
Yes — AutoStories is fully mobile-friendly and works great on tablets, which is perfect for the service desk. No app to download, no installation required. Just open it in any browser.
Does it work with European vehicles like VW, BMW, Audi and Mercedes? +
Yes — we have specialist templates for all major European brands including Volkswagen (Golf, Tiguan, Amarok), BMW (3 Series, 5 Series, X3, X5), Audi (A3, A4, Q3, Q5) and Mercedes-Benz (C-Class, E-Class, GLC, Sprinter). Common European jobs like DSG service, timing chain replacement, EGR faults, AdBlue issues and air suspension are all pre-loaded.
Will it paste straight into my workshop DMS? +
Yes — use the "Copy to DMS" button which formats the story with your workshop name, vehicle details, advisor name and date — ready to paste directly into AutoMaster, Mechanic Desk, Workshop Software or any other DMS system. It's plain text so it works with everything.
What stops someone else using my Pro account? +
Each Pro subscription is limited to 2 registered devices. The first two devices that log in with your email are registered automatically. If a third device tries to use the same email, access is denied and you'll see a message to contact us. This keeps your subscription secure while allowing you to use it at your desk and on your laptop.
